Review evidence before you clean
Open a category’s info view in the main window to review the files or directories it represents. The view can show paths, measured sizes, dates and rebuild hints. Use Reveal in Finder to inspect the location in macOS, or copy a path when you need to investigate it in Terminal.
Risk labels still apply: Quick Clean contains only SAFE categories. WARNING and DANGER items need your explicit selection. Evidence helps you decide; it does not override the safety label.
Read the deletion record
After a cleanup, open History and choose the session’s record. The deletion manifest records the space freed, DevCleaner version, deletion mode, Trash session folder when applicable, selected categories, command actions, affected paths and any failures. It is a useful audit trail when you want to understand exactly what happened.
A manifest describes the completed operation. It is not a backup and does not restore deleted data. Use Trash mode or Project Hibernation when you need a recoverable workflow.
Export or share with support
In the record view, use Copy JSON to place the structured manifest on the clipboard, or Save manifest to keep a file. If you contact support about an unexpected result, include the relevant record rather than a screenshot alone; it gives support the category, path and error context needed to help.
