Desktop widget
Add the DevCleaner widget from the widget gallery (desktop or Notification Center). Data comes from an App Group snapshot written after each scan.
Small widget
Shows the total selected to clean reclaimable size. Tap to open the main window.
Medium widget
Reclaimable total plus a 30-day cleanup history bar chart and a Quick Clean button.
Until you run at least one scan, the widget shows a “run a scan” placeholder. Enable Launch at login so scans stay fresh.
URL schemes
DevCleaner registers the devcleaner:// scheme. Supported hosts:
| URL | Action |
|---|---|
devcleaner://open | Open (or focus) the main DevCleaner window |
devcleaner://quickclean | Run Quick Clean on all selected SAFE categories |
From Terminal or a Shortcut:
open "devcleaner://open"
open "devcleaner://quickclean"
.devcleaner archive files
Separate from URL schemes: double-clicking a *.devcleaner breadcrumb file opens the restore confirmation window. DevCleaner owns this file type — it is not a generic URL but works the same way from Finder, email attachments or cloud sync.
