Support, licenses & account help

Answers about your license key, activation, Pro dashboard, billing, privacy, and where to get personal support.

Lost license email or license key

Your DevCleaner Pro key is sent to the email address used for the purchase. First, search that inbox and its spam folder for DevCleaner.

If you still cannot find it, email hello@devcleaner.app from the email address used for the purchase and ask for a license-key resend. If you no longer have access to that email address, contact support and explain the situation; support will advise what is needed to help you.

For your security, do not post license keys, payment-card details, passwords, or full purchase receipts in a public chat or community post.

Activate or move a license

  1. Open DevCleaner and choose Settings → License.
  2. Paste the license key from your purchase email.
  3. Choose Activate.

A license can be active on up to three Macs you own. Deactivate an old Mac before moving to a new one when possible. If a computer was lost or you reached the limit, sign in to the Pro dashboard with your purchase email and use its device-reset option.

Pro checks its license online when possible. After a successful check, Pro features can keep working offline for up to 14 days before another validation is needed.

Pro dashboard sign-in

The Pro dashboard has no password. Enter the same email address you used to buy DevCleaner Pro and it sends you a one-time magic sign-in link. It is available to active Pro customers.

The dashboard can show aggregate cleanup activity, such as cleanup time, bytes freed, and category names. It does not receive file paths, manifests, or project names.

Free tier, Pro, and trial

Manual scanning, Quick Clean, Ghost Projects discovery, Project Artifacts discovery, the desktop widget, and restoring a previously hibernated project are free permanently. No account is required.

DevCleaner Pro adds Auto Clean, Smart Triggers, Project Hibernation archive, and batch archive. A 14-day Pro trial is available with no card required. When it ends, manual cleanup and restore still work; automation and archiving require Pro.

Yearly is $19.99/year. Lifetime is a one-time purchase; its current price is shown on the homepage.

Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Yearly subscriptions can be cancelled through Stripe's Customer Portal, linked in the purchase email. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund the current billing period.

Purchases are generally non-refundable, with exceptions for situations such as accidental duplicate purchases, non-delivery, qualifying technical issues, eligible change-of-mind requests, and legal requirements. To request a refund, email hello@devcleaner.app with the purchase email, purchase date, reason, and relevant details. Read the complete Refund Policy.

Safety and data privacy

DevCleaner processes scanning and cleanup locally on your Mac. Every category is rated Safe, Warning, or Danger. Only Safe categories are selected by default. Credentials and session files are protected, and the app warns before cleaning caches for an app that is currently running.

DevCleaner does not upload file paths, file contents, or project names as part of normal scanning and cleanup. Optional anonymous statistics use aggregate freed-space information. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Get help with an error

For a problem in the app, first see Troubleshooting. If you still need help, email hello@devcleaner.app with the exact visible error, your macOS version, DevCleaner version, and what you were trying to clean. If you are concerned that data was deleted unexpectedly, stop further cleanup and contact support before deleting anything else.
